陸績六歲時，隨父親去拜訪袁術。袁術拿出橘子招待他們，陸績悄悄藏了兩個在懷裡。告別時，橘子從他的衣服裡掉了出來。袁術見狀，笑著問他：「你為什麼要偷橘子呢？」陸績回答：「我想帶回去給母親嚐嚐，因為她從未吃過這麼甜的橘子。」袁術被他的孝心感動，不僅沒有責怪他，還送了他更多的橘子帶回家。陸績的孝行傳為佳話，成為後世學習的榜樣。

When Lu Ji was six years old, he accompanied his father to visit Yuan Shu. Yuan Shu offered them oranges as a treat, and Lu Ji secretly hid two in his robe. As they were leaving, the oranges fell out of his clothes. Yuan Shu noticed and asked with a smile, “Why did you steal the oranges?” Lu Ji replied, “I wanted to take them home for my mother to taste, as she has never had such sweet oranges before.” Moved by his filial piety, Yuan Shu not only forgave him but also gave him more oranges to take home. Lu Ji’s act of filial love became a celebrated story, inspiring generations to come.
